The first (non tactical) watch to have 3 time zones was the Carl F. Bucherer Traveltec. It retails for $10,800. The Arctic Storm also tracks 3 time zones at once with much more features.
Here’s how it works…the hour and minute hands track local time. The 24-hour hand tracks home time on the dial. Rotating the bezel gives you the third time zone. Explorers and Adventures 1000's of miles from home need to track 2, even 3 time zones.
Ordinary watches use luminous material for their hour markers. It glows in the dark. We took the same Luminova lume material and took it a step further. We printed the entire dial with Luminova and painted the hour-markers black.
The effect is an insane luminescent glow in the darkest of situations. While you may never be reading the time in a pitch-black cave or volcano... the glowing dial sure looks awesome at the movie theatre
Here’s how it works…each click on the bezel signifies an hour. There are 24 clicks in total. Each click lines up the hour marker on the bezel with the hour markers on the dial. Much attention went into making sure each click landed with precision.
Even the sound of the click is intoxicating. And since you can HEAR the click... you can rotate the bezel by feel without even looking at the watch. Looking to track a 3rd time zone east... you rotate it counter-clockwise. West? Clockwise. Simple.
Watches like Rolex or AP have cogs and springs. The cogs and springs need lubricant or they’re not going to work right. This is why if you have a Rolex, you already know you’ve got to service that watch every few years.

Most professionals will have some sort of glove on their hand. An Arctic Explorer's glove needs to keep his fingers from frostbite. What if he needs to adjust the time? The oversized crown makes it easy for the wearer to change time. And without ever removing their gloves.
